Working with Items

Summary

Managing items is performed on the Item list display in the top navigation.

The items list shows all of the items in your inventory for use on tickets as well as all service items and labor items.

Items are organized into categories that work like folders on your computer.

Example: Category/Subcategory/Subcategory/…/Item Name

Your categories can be nested as many folders deep as necessary to organize your inventory in the way that suits your business.

Items Toolbar

The items toolbar allows you to quickly filter and search your item inventory for items and categories as well as quickly add new items and import items from a comma separated values (CSV) file.

You can search the list by typing in all or part of the category path and/or item name into the filter box in the toolbar or by clicking on the category names in the list to filter to a specific category and it’s subcategories.

Pagination Toolbar

If there are more items to display than will fit on a single page, the pagination toolbar will be displayed under the item list. You can navigate between the pages in the list by clicking on a specific page or clicking the < or > arrows to move to the previous or next page.

Import Items from CSV

The file must have columns in the format displayed on the import dialog. The columns are as follows …Category, Item, Price, Taxable. Click here to view a sample CSV inventory file.

Review the items imported and click  when you have confirmed the list is accurate. The items will then be added to your inventory list.
